James always shows love to artists whose music he enjoys, sharing videos of himself lip-syncing to their music. His latest attempt at the same has been flamed by NBA fans, as he appears to keep looking down and reading lyrics.

James sharing videos of him rapping to popular songs is a long-running feature of his Instagram. Even GloRilla jokes about him not knowing the lyrics to their songs, but everyone knows James is showing love for her craft.
In 2022, James revealed what his favorite rap albums were on a Twitter/X Q-and-A session.
“The Chronic, Doggystyle, Black Album, Life After Death and ummm, It Was Written. But I have so many more to name for real!”
These picks show LeBron appreciates classics in the genre but isn’t opposed to spinning the latest music to stay in touch with what’s popular.

LeBron’s professional situation can be completely altered over the summer as the 39-year-old heads into free agency while his Los Angeles Lakers’ decide what price they’d be willing to pay to bring him back. That is arguably their easiest decision this summer, as James will command whatever the maximum the Lakers can offer him after making his 20th All-NBA Team last season.
The bigger dilemma for the Lakers is who they’ll hire as their new head coach, with JJ Redick in the lead for the job, and whether they’ll draft Bronny James to fulfill LeBron’s request to play alongside his son. Stephen A. Smith has alleged that James is trying to get the franchise to make these moves to satisfy him.
“LeBron James is trying to get the Los Angeles Lakers to draft Bronny James with the second-round pick. He’d also like for JJ Redick to be his next head coach. I’m just telling you what I’ve heard… That doesn’t mean the Lakers want JJ Redick, it doesn’t mean they don’t… He’s one of many, they haven’t made a finite decision about anybody yet, but LeBron has. That’s the guy he wants, which would kind of explain why they’re doing a basketball podcast together, I’m just guessing on that point, but it makes sense.”
From James’ side, his team has made it clear that the four-time champion has zero input over the search for a new head coach, with the Lakers independently pursuing JJ Redick because they view him as the next coming of Pat Riley.
As far as Bronny being drafted by the franchise, Rich Paul has made it clear that they are pursuing the best possible options for Bronny regardless of what LeBron’s dreams are. Bronny has openly said that he does not dream of playing alongside his father, but dreams of making it to the NBA.
Bronny will work out for the Lakers and Suns, making it likely that one of these teams pick him up. On the coaching front, the Lakers are expected to decide between Redick and James Borrego.
Both these decisions could have lasting consequences on the LeBron James era as a Laker. But if his decision to leave could be motivated by the franchise not acquiescing to these moves, maybe it’s best for both player and franchise to move on to their next chapter.
LeBron averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in the regular season. He put up 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in the Lakers’ first-round exit to the Nuggets.
