LeBron James keeps making moves on and off the court, trying to improve the lives of underprivileged students in his native Akron.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is trying to go further and help students in different ways, and is now building a new permanent housing unit that will help plenty of families.
“On Thursday, the foundation celebrated the grand opening of the I PROMISE Housing development, in partnership with the East Akron Neighborhood Development Corporation on Maple Street, with a ribbon cutting and tour of the building,” Peter Dredd of Dredd’s Info writes.
The building has different options for the people that will live in it, as well as a variety of commodities to help students and those close to them. For instance, it has two, three, and four-bedroom apartments with access to fiber-optic Wi-Fi.
This is a big contribution from LeBron James, who has done an incredible job helping these kids reach their goals and achieve their dreams with his foundation.
“Young people who have a quality place to live are better students and become better citizens in our community,” said Dan DeVille, Vice Chair of East Akron Neighborhood Development Corporation.
LeBron is always trying to give back to the community and all these families will be eternally grateful to him. The King has done so much for them, and he’s not stopping yet.
LeBron James’ I PROMISE Foundation Has Helped Many Kids In Akron
His I PROMISE foundation has done a lot of great things for the underprivileged, and he’s had the support of many people, including global star Drake, who donated $1 million to the foundation.
James also plans to build a multi-million dollar medical facility in Akron, making it clear he’s not done helping his people. His journey wasn’t easy, and LeBron never forgets about that.
The King is winning in life, becoming one of the greatest players to ever exist. He still finds time to give back to his people, and this won’t be the only time we’ll hear about Bron’s incredible gestures.
