How can we evaluate LeBron James?

In my opinion, I think he’s genuinely a good person. I actually like Lebron James as a person and think he’s a nice individual.

He’s one of the most legendary basketball players to ever play the game, and is definitely top 5 NBA players of all time (behind Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in my opinion).

Heck, during my second season in NBA 2k19 for Mycareer,

I went to the Lakers and me and Lebron won the 2020 NBA Finals (which means Lakers might win the 2020 NBA Finals in real life).

I’m the guy holding the small trophy.

Lebron James is genuinely my third favorite basketball player of all time. Lebron James is clutch and when he’s serious, its pretty scary.

My favorite Lebron James moment was when he ended a 52 year drought with his teammates and beated a powerful Warriors Team (before they added Kevin Durant).

Now, I think Lebron James was a LITTLE cocky when Lebron James said he was the GOAT, but whatever.

I respect Lebron James as a basketball player, and as a person.

However, what I dont really trust Lebron James on, is politics.

Lebron James is a liberal, and even though he’s the only Liberal/Far Left individual I genuinely respect, he has made some irrational and emotional choices.

But before that, one of the reason why Lebron James is the only liberal person I genuinely respect is because he at least donates his money to help people in need. Lebron james was born poor and his dad left him, so Lebron James knows what it feels like, and feels obligated to help poor kids.

Lebron James literally has more impact on hte black community than Black Lives Matter, which is honestly both impressive for Lebron and sad for BLM.

He was born poor, and worked his butt off to be the superstar and greatest basketball player in the world. I respect that.

I honestly support Lebron James decision to join the Miami Heat (which was controversial back in the day) because the Celtics were tough, and at least Lebron James didnt join the Celtics. Sure, it created a superteam but Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade were at least fun to watch.

Now, onto politics. See, I did not have a problem with Lebron James endorsing Hillary Clinton. How is supporting someone politically make him a bad person?

I dont have a problem with Lebron James wearing clothing to support Trayvon Martin or Eric Garner.

I do think Lebron James was right in wearing those, and the police DID use excessive force on Eric Garner.

I dont have a problem with Lebron James endorsing Barack Obama

I may disagree with Lebron James kneeling in the National Anthem, but I am not going to be one of those people who insult him and cuss him out. It was just two month after the George Floyd incident, and people were still tensed up. So I can give Lebron James a pass for that.

Here’s where I drew the line.

See, during the summer a criminal name Jacob Blake resisted a warrant for sexually assaulting someone, ignored the police officers, reached for something in the car, and was shot because the police feared for their life. By the way, a knife was found in the car, and Jacob admitted that he posessed a knife.

You know what Lebron James did? He tried to boycott the NBA season BEFORE the full story was released.

Lebron James trying to boycott the NBA season wasnt the one thing that annoyed me. I mean, if Jacob Blake was an innocent person who was shot in cold blood, then I would support Lebron James boycotting.

What annoyed me was that Lebron James supported a rapist over the police. He supported a criminal over the police. Lebron James acted irrational and emotionally BEFORE the full story was released. Whats even hilarious was that Lebron James didnt try to apologize for his mistake, he was just quiet and hoped the whole thing dies down.

Thats what made me not respect Lebron James, at least as a political figure. I can get over Lebron James supporting Colin Kaepernick (even though allegedly Colin Kapernick hated police and wore police as pigs and he only kneeled down during the national anthem because he didnt like police. If its wrong, please tell me).

I dont like how Lebron James jumps to conclusions and acts before the full story is revealed. heck, Lebron James called a Rocket Manager “misinformed” during the hong kong protests, and he got backlashed because he was supporting China because of business reasons.

I also find it funny how Lebron James is seen reading Malcolm X

When Malcolm X said this about celebrities.

In short, do I hate Lebron James? No, I dont.

Lebron James is a one of a kind individual in terms of physical abilities. He can literally play any sport. He was a football player for high school and pretty good at it.

Lebron James is like peak human being. He’s pretty tough but also nice as well.

I respect him as a person, and as a NBA player. But when it comes to politics, I just ignore him. Its just because Lebron James jumps to conclusions and should have waited for the full story. For better or for worse, Lebron James is the first modern player to introduce politics to NBA.

So yeah, this is my opinion on Lebron James.
