Keyshawn Davis Reveals Lomachenko’s “Fragile” Weaknesses Against Tank Davis

Keyshawn Davis on Lomachenko vs. Gervonta Davis: Too Fragile to Win

Keyshawn Davis, a rising lightweight contender, has weighed in on the potential bout between

IBF lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis,

viewing Lomachenko as too “fragile” to overcome the undefeated Tank later this year in November.

Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) is among the fighters Tank Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) is considering after his recent victory over Frank Martin. Despite Lomachenko’s formidable record and skill set, Keyshawn Davis believes that the 36-year-old Ukrainian’s best days are behind him. According to Davis, Lomachenko might have stood a better chance three years ago, but not now.

Keyshawn doesn’t provide specific reasons for labeling Lomachenko as “fragile,” considering Lomachenko has never been knocked out or dropped in his career. Despite his three losses, Lomachenko has shown resilience and skill.

“I definitely got Tank. I feel Lomachenko is smaller, he’s fragile, he’s older, and he’s on his way out,” said Keyshawn Davis in an interview with the Sean Zittel YouTube channel.

Tank’s tendency to start fights slowly, as seen in his recent bout against Frank Martin, could pose a risk if he allows Lomachenko to gain an early advantage. However, Keyshawn believes that Tank’s power might still prevail, potentially resulting in a stoppage win for Tank.

Keyshawn highlighted Tank’s pattern of losing early rounds, which could be problematic against a skilled opponent like Lomachenko. He emphasized that while Tank might struggle to outbox Lomachenko, his power could still turn the tide.

“Putting things in perspective of Tank vs. Frank, both of them being southpaws, and Tank losing those first five or six rounds against a lesser southpaw,” said Keyshawn. “If you’re going into a fight with Shakur Stevenson, you cannot do that.”

Keyshawn also discussed the potential of a fight between Tank and Shakur Stevenson. He noted that Stevenson’s movement and defensive style could make it difficult for Tank to land significant blows. However, he expressed confidence in Stevenson’s ability to secure a win either way.

Keyshawn Davis’s assessment of Lomachenko vs. Gervonta Davis highlights the challenges and dynamics of the potential bout. While Lomachenko’s skill and experience are undeniable, his age and perceived fragility could be factors in Tank’s favor. However, Tank’s tendency to start slowly could give Lomachenko an edge if he capitalizes on it early in the fight. The potential match-up promises to be a compelling clash of styles and strategies.
