LeBron James links up with First Take star J.J. Redick for major new venture as legend looks at post NBA…

LEBRON James is entering the podcast arena, teaming up with former NBA star J.J. Redick.

And the 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers legend will hope to be an audio hit.

The new podcast is called Mind the Game, with the first episode due to be released on Tuesday.

There are no advertisers or media partners yet, but given the status of the presenters that may only be a matter of time.

The podcast will be produced by James’ Uninterrupted and Redick’s ThreeFourTwo Productions.

It has been reported that LeBron and Redick have really hit it off in recent times, initially during the NBA in-season tournament, and are keen to produce a podcast that focuses on matters on the court, without any interference from editorial third parties.

The first episode deals with basketball strategy, as the pair share glasses of wine together.

A clip that has been released shows a relaxed set-up, with the pair going deep on tactics.

Leron has won four NBA Championships in his storied career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers.

He has produced films like Space Jam, along with a number of other projects including an upcoming NBA docuseries for Netflix.

Shooting guard Redick spent 15 years playing in the NBA, scoring more than 2,000 points, retiring in 2021.

He has plenty of experience in the media world, launching a podcast with Yahoo back in 2016, that later moved to The Ringer.

In 2020, he co-founded ThreeFourTwo Productions. The company produces a number of podcasts, including The Old Man and the Three.

After he finished playing, Redick joined ESPN as an on-air sports analyst.

He regularly appears on First Take with Stephen A. Smith. He’s known to be pretty outspoken when on the show, often getting himself involved in heated debates.
