Shaquille O’Neal linked up with Hailey Welch, better known now as the girl behind the ‘hawk tuah’ viral meme in Nashville
Shaquille O’Neal revealed that he met up with the girl behind the viral ‘hawk tuah’ meme last night while performing a DJ set in Nashville. Shaq took to his X account dedicated to his DJ career to share a few pictures of his interactions with Hailey Welch, asking fans to guess who he found in Nashville.
Shaq then shared another picture with Welch in the replies, along with a GIF of Shrek looking sly, allowing fans to speculate what exactly he meant by that. O’Neal is an all-time great troll, so it is very likely he was just having fun at the fans’ expense.
Hailey Welch rose to prominence with the ‘hawk tuah’ meme, in which she uses an NSFW way to describe the act of oral sex. The video went viral, leading to speculation about the girl herself, and more people wanting to know about her.
Since the clip of her went viral, she has made several public appearances. Most recently, she was at country singer Zach Bryan’s concert and even appeared on stage with the artist. And as we saw from Shaq’s social media, she was at his DJ set to watch the former NBA champion perform.
O’Neal is one of the rare few NBA personalities with his finger on the pulse and uses his social media very well. Whether it be using viral memes and interacting with internet personalities, or trolling others on social media, Shaq knows what is happening around the world, and doesn’t mind voicing his opinion on it.
Shaquille O’Neal Is A Hall Of Fame Troll
Recently Shaquille O’Neal trolled Drake with an edited picture of the two of them. But Shaq also came out and apologized to Drake for the picture, and told him that he wasn’t trying to mock him, and he didn’t edit the picture. He deleted the picture when it went viral and told Drake that wasn’t his intention.
“Let me apologize real quick. I sent out a picture the other day… The mistake I made was I should’ve said, ‘Who did this?’. Because I want Drake to know… Listen Drake has a great sense of humor. So I thought it was funny that they did that. I don’t want him to think, ‘Shaq’s trolling’. No, I’m not trolling…”
“No, I didn’t photoshop it. Somebody photoshopped it and I actually saw it. And I took the picture… So Drake, I apologize, I should have put, ‘Who was this?’ On there because I don’t want you to think I did that. Somebody sent it to me, I thought it was funny and hopefully, you thought it was funny, too. But once it went viral, I definitely took it down. So my bad, big Drake.”
Shaq’s trolling isn’t just limited to celebrities, as he also took a shot at fellow LSU alum Ben Simmons on Instagram. O’Neal has a history of going after NBA players if he feels they aren’t as good as they should be or if they disrespect him in some way. Hailey Welch must be thankful she’s on Shaq’s good side for now.
