Tyson Fury reveals his full scorecard for Oleksandr Usyk fight and insists he beat Ukrainian comfortably after watching fight back

Tyson Fury Believes He Beat Oleksandr Usyk by a Wide Margin After Reviewing the Fight

Tyson Fury remains confident that he was the true victor in his bout against Oleksandr Usyk,

despite suffering the first defeat of his career and losing his WBC heavyweight title.

The Gypsy King missed out on the chance to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion, with the split decision favoring Usyk.

The fight concluded with two out of three judges scoring in favor of Usyk. Judge Manuel Oliver Palomo scored the fight 115-112 for Usyk, indicating Usyk won seven rounds to Fury’s five. Judge Mike Fitzgerald also scored the fight 114-113 for Usyk, with both fighters winning six rounds each, but the 10-8 knockdown round in the ninth tipped the balance in Usyk’s favor. Conversely, Judge Craig Metcalfe scored the fight 114-113 for Fury, meaning he won seven rounds to Usyk’s five.

Fury, however, has his own perspective after watching the fight multiple times. On his Furocity YouTube Channel, he expressed his belief that he won the fight. “I’ve watched the fight back lots of times and still got the same answer – I thought I won the fight. Usyk knows he didn’t beat me… I thought I boxed the head right off him for most of the rounds.”

Fury acknowledged Usyk’s success in a few specific rounds, saying, “He landed a good punch in round eight and busted my nose, in round nine he had a 10-8 round, and I gave him round ten. But other than that I didn’t give him any other rounds.” According to Fury’s scoring, he won the fight 116-111, suggesting he won nine rounds to Usyk’s three.

Immediately after the fight, Fury disputed the official scorecards and made strong claims about his performance. “I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few of the rounds but I won the majority of them. What can you do? It’s one of the decisions in boxing. We both put on a good fight. Best we could do.”

Fury is not taking this defeat lying down. He has activated the rematch clause in his contract, with a date set for their second encounter on December 21. “I’ll be back, I’ve got a rematch clause. We go back. Have a little rest up, spend some time with my family and we go again in October,” Fury said.

The upcoming rematch provides Fury with an opportunity to reclaim his title and set the record straight against Usyk. Fans and analysts alike will be keenly watching to see if Fury can indeed prove his point and emerge victorious in their highly anticipated second fight.
